THE traditional practise of wearing a veil or head covering among women in church finds its Biblical premise in 1 Corinthians, chapter 11, where St Paul says: "Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered disgraceth his head.
"But every woman praying or prophesying with her head not covered disgraceth her head." He later adds: "You yourselves judge: doth it become a woman to pray unto God uncovered?"
All of the Mantillas and vestments offered by Catholic Tradition are hand made by a traditionalist seamstress.
Whilst many of the veils for use by ladies in church are held in stock, larger or more exceptional items, including cassocks and cottas for priests and altar servers, are made to order. Please use the contact form to send us your details.
